About The Club

We are Mistley Cricket Club, a club with well over 125 years of history; Our ground is one of the most picturesque in Essex and offers a good challenge to both bat & ball.We run 4 adult teams with our First XI playing in Division 1 of the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship,we run a 2nd team playing in Division 4 of this competition & a 3rd team in Division C, both second & third teams finished runners up in their respective Divisions in 2009.We also compete in the PDQ North Essex League Premier League.In 2009 we were crowned Champions for the first time!

In 2007 we were identified as a 'Focus Club' by Essex County Cricket Board,we also achieved 'Clubmark' status in 2006.We have since been re-accredited to Clubmark in September 2009

We run a thriving junior section with 110+ boys & girls receiving regular coaching from 4 Level 2 ECB Coaches & 6 ECB Level 1 Coaches.We have also run disability days in our last 2 Cricket Week Festivals.

As part of our Development Plan we are looking to expand our activities to Ladies & Girls Cricket, to this end we have entered a team in the Beaumont Seymour North Essesx League.

At the recent awards night the following received their awards from the Jack Petchey Foundation.

Monies are bing spent on a varity of equipment for the clubs new WHF Ground [Sightscreens]Cricket equipment such as stumps for practice nets and training equipment for girls and ladies.
